The big game is happening this Sunday, and although our boys will not be playing at Jerry’s house, Dallas fashion designer, Abi Ferrin, will be.
On January 27, Stanley Korshak hosted the 10th Annual Off The Field Players' Wives Awards Banquet and Fashion Show and Media Reception showcasing new Abi Ferrin fashions.
“It’s our 10th year, we probably have secretly been waiting for it to be in the Metroplex. [It’s] just awesome to have a local story, and have a local designer, and be able to let Dallas shine for the fashion place that it is,” said Romonda Jordan. Dallas is equally excited – despite the recent ice storm, posters and billboards have been popping up around the city, and it’s not uncommon to find a celeb browsing NorthPark Center in America’s No. 2 shopping city.
“We’re really here to celebrate Off The Field Players’ Wives Association, who is here tonight to announce to you guys the St. Jude Children’s benefit they will be hosting next Friday for the Super Bowl,” Ferrin said.
Sherice Brown, wife of 1987 Heisman Trophy Winner Tim Brown, noted, “We’re wearing Abi Ferrin’s amazing designs, so we’re extra extra excited about this event, and just want to say thank you for all of your support.”
The Steelers and Packers will face off in Arlington this Sunday for the Super Bowl trophy, and Ferrin’s designs modeled that evening paid tribute to both teams. “I think when you notice the colors, you’ll notice it’s not my usual theme, but it might ring a bell,” Ferrin said.
VIP Media and special guests were enamored with Ferrin’s latest fashions, but there was another reason guests lined the runway. “We also have a pink diamond, which has been designed by Olschwanger, and donated by Worldwide Diamond Ventures,” Ferrin said. Romonda Jordan modeled the 6.32 carat pink diamond that will be auctioned off at the February 4th Fashion Show.
